Traffic Health & Fitness
Limited was established in 2002 to offer
professional support and advice on all matters relating
to operating a Health, Fitness and Spa facilities in
the UK and overseas.
Tory Brettell
With over 20 years experience within the Leisure
Industry from qualifying as a Physical Training
Instructor in the Women's Royal Navy to working as a
Group Manager for Whitbread Hotels to managing and
supporting 49 Clubs in Europe. Tory has a broad range of
practical experience to draw on.
Gary Lockwood
A qualified sports coach and psychologist. Built and
established his first club in Worcester in 2001.
Following 5 years of successful trading he moved to
Portsmouth to take over the running of The Edge Health
and Fitness Club with his business partner Tory. Gary
has extensive operational and sales experience.
We are able to offer advice and
support on the following:
• Development; Project Design and Management (within
Marriott Hotels, completed approx.10 builds and 20
refurbishments, Welti Tennis and Leisure; Le Meridien
Piccadilly).
• Conducting reviews/audits of clubs and recommending
improvements to bring consistency and continuity across
the Group.
• Writing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures
(Sop's•
Reviewing Sales systems, implementing and establishing a
strong sales and retention protocol.
• Formulating financial modules to control and maximise
the business.
• Improving man management skills, on job training and
development of all levels of personnel.
• Improving quality and establishing new systems, to
increase profit and retention of members and guests.
• Heightening the awareness of your brand within the
local market and Leisure Industry.
• Procurement and ensuring the best possible
value/support is achieved from suppliers.
• Customer care and building on relationships.
• Relief Management for an agreed period; to turn the
Club into a greater success level; improve practices;
maintain stability within business.
